by providing safety and hope for women, children, and families experiencing homelessness

become a lifelong member of the mary’s place legacy of love!

When you make a gift through your estate, either now or at the end of your life, your planned giving provide invaluable support to Mary’s Place. In addition, you or your heirs may receive various financial advantages, including significant tax benefits.

“We are very impressed with the work done by Mary’s Place, especially in light of the current increasing homelessness in our area and complications of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to continue our support to the organization over the long-haul”.

GIFTS FOR THE FUTURE

Planned giving lets you retain the assets you need during your lifetime and allows you to give generously in the future:

  • Designate Mary's Place as a beneficiary: of your IRA, 401(k), bank or investment account, or other asset

  • Make a gift of life insurance

GIFTS THAT PROVIDE TAX BENEFITS NOW AND LIFETIME INCOME

Create a charitable remainder trust: Your irrevocable trust will make payments to you or other beneficiaries for your lifetime or a specified term, after which Mary's Place receives the remainder.

GIFTS OF PROPERTY

Donate real estate: a vacation home, commercial property, or undeveloped land can all be part of your planned giving. You can also use these to fund a charitable trust to benefit Mary's Place. You may even donate your home and continue to live there for the rest of your lifetime.

OUTRIGHT GIFT TO THE MARY’S PLACE ANNUAL FUND

Make a gift of appreciated stock or other assets, which can minimize capital gains and/or income taxes for you.

ANY PLANNED GIVING OR OUTRIGHT GIFT MAY BE MADE IN HONOR OR MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE

Thank you for your support of Mary's Place!

Mary's Place is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Tax ID# 27-2087950.

Lucile cared deeply about women’s health and worked for Planned Parenthood in Seattle and Engenderhealth, a global woman’s health organization, during her lifetime. She was committed to helping women who didn’t have the resources that she was lucky to have and moved by the stories of our families. Lucile chose to make Mary's Place the beneficiary of her IRA upon her death. We are inspired by Lucile’s passion and grateful for her generous donation that will help women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness.
