Welcoming new board chair - Carie Antonelli!
At their annual meeting in May, the Mary’s Place Board of Directors elected Carie Fowler Antonelli as their new chairperson. Carie was a member of the Board in Mary’s Place early days and helped move and build a day center for single women that became the model for the wraparound services today also meet the needs of unsheltered families. Carie rejoined the Board in 2017 and most recently served as the chair of Mary’s Place strategic planning committee. She is part of the fifth generation to work for their regional family business, HD Fowler, where she is owner and co-Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
BIG thank you to outgoing chair, Dan McGrady. A long-time Mary’s Place champion and advocate, Dan has helped Mary’s Place acquire and renovate 18 new shelter locations over the years, including a PEMCO-owned building that was the first to shelter single dads with children. Under Dan’s leadership, Mary’s Place completed a robust strategic planning process, added a new Family Diversion Center shelter, and helped provide nearly 200,000 bed nights to keep families safe, warm, and together. He will remain on the Board and lead Mary’s Place advocacy efforts. We are so grateful to Dan for his leadership!
