Our Mary's Place Girl Scout troop #40103 was excited to be selling cookies again this year!

They had a goal to sell 2,000 boxes of cookies so they could go on an EPIC camping trip and are now busy planning that adventure for later this summer! Big thank you to everyone who came by our in-person cookie sales in March (including at Molly Moon’s Ice Cream in Columbia City!) or ordered online and bought over 5,000 boxes of cookies! The Troop did an amazing job and learned a lot about customer service, leadership, making change, and tracking inventory - and they had a ton of fun!

Selling cookies and participating in the Girl Scouts is an exciting opportunity for girls and young women experiencing homelessness to set and achieve goals, and learn leadership skills. When they move back into housing, a Scout troop in their new community can be a great way to get reconnected and build meaningful relationships.

We can’t wait for the next Girl Scout Cookie season! Click here to read a Seattle Times article about the Mary’s Place Girl Scout Troop!
